Title: If Snow Hadn’t Fallen ( A Lacey Flint Short Story)

Author: S.J. Bolton

Very much a crime/mystery story, based upon a gang of masked unknowns who murder a young Asian man in the middle of a public park, in broad daylight, by burning him alive. The detective, Lacey Flint, happens to witness a person running away just before hearing screams and chants coming from the middle of the park grounds which turns out to be the crime scene in progress.

Being the key witness to the crime, the detective has to unravel all the pieces of the incident, and try to correct what has happened by bringing the murderers to justice.

In a London which is blanketed with snow in the run up to Christmas, the Muslim community is on edge, suspecting that the crime is a racial attack.

Who are the masked murderers?

Who is the woman in black that Lacey sees prowling the scene of the crime days later?

The author does well to keep us in suspense and tells the tale wonderfully. A short story worthy of another read. A tale to wet your thirst for excitement.
